What Dropbox needs to allow

Dropbox — paste either a shared folder link or a path inside the survey account, like /Beaufort Drift Fence Camera Trap Project/Test Images. A path is faster and more reliable: Dropbox allows a recursive listing on a real path but not on a shared link, so a path is one request instead of one per subfolder. On a Dropbox Business account the survey folder normally lives in the team space rather than the member's home folder — the server detects that and addresses the team namespace automatically.

Filenames — two patterns are read automatically: SITE_CAMERA_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.JPG and PREFIX_YYMMDDHHMMSS_SEQ.JPG. Anything else falls back to EXIF capture time, and to the folder names in the path.

Deployment dates — used to catch camera-clock errors. Any photo stamped outside the window is flagged at import and carries a date_flag in the export, so a camera whose clock was never set does not quietly corrupt your activity analysis.

Contributing organization — reviewers only see batches from their own organization. Administrators see everything.

Flagged for a second opinion

Every flagged frame from every batch you can see, pooled in one queue. A frame lands here when it was identified no finer than family, or when the reviewer flagged it deliberately. It leaves when a second reviewer agrees with the identification.

Every account, site and batch is walled by an exact organization name, so the names live here rather than being typed each time. Renaming one is also how two spellings of the same partner are merged: the new name is written through every account, site, batch and sharing list at once.

The site code is the join key across every batch, filename and export, so it is registered once here and offered as a dropdown at import. Assign each site to the organization that runs it; reviewers see only their own. Codes cannot be edited after photos reference them — retire the site and register a new code instead.
